Valentine's Day

Well we had another fabulous Valentine's day!!

My little sister came Saturday to stay a few days with us since she had Presidents Day off from school so that was nice.

Sunday me and her just hung out and watched some movies (Precious...very good but sad at the same time) together while Danny worked in the morning at a friends house. When Danny got home we watched Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian. Its a really cute movie plus I like the fact that I have been to not only the Museum of Natural History several times but also to the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. I get a kick out of things like that!! I know I am dork... :)

Sunday night Danny and I went to dinner with his brother and our SIL to a restaurant called Rum Runners. It was SO yummy. I of course had seared tuna appetizer cause if it is on a menu I have to have it and then I had prime rib for dinner...it was all very good!

Here are a couple pictures of us at dinner...

Tomorrow I have a doctors appt but I don't think anything is gonna change other than I am going to see if there is anything he can give me for this crazy itchiness that I have other than stupid Benadryl. Keep your fingers crossed for that please! :)

I have two movies left to see out of all 10 best pictures nominated for an Oscar. Up and A Serious Man...I am kind of slacking in wanting to watch the second one because our friend Josh says he doesn't think I will like it so I am already going into it with a feeling of dread so we will see. I know Brothers isn't on the 10 best picture list but I also watched that this weekend and it was REALLY good. Definitely should check that out if you haven't already.

2 more weeks...

Well I went to my appt and just like I thought my doctor is extending my abx to 2 more weeks! I thought it was going to be for just one more week so I was a little surprised when he said 2 but I'm fine with it as long as I feel better.

He did switch up my schedule a little bit so I could get more sleep which I appreciate! Plus he added an abx so now I am on 3 total. Ceftazidime and Azactam every 8hrs and Amikacin every 24hrs. So its a really do-able schedule and I am not anywhere near as tired as I was last week.

After the first day of all 3 abx I already felt tons better and noticed a vast improvement to my SOB! The only con to this whole 3 abx thing is it is really making me itchy and I HATE being itchy!! When I am in the hospital I get IV Benadryl if I am itchy and at home I don't. Unfortunately PO Benadryl doesn't help at all so I am kind of just stuck here being miserable! :(

I got to visit with my cousin Maria the past few days cause her family was in town from NY so that was really nice. I hadn't seen her in over a year. I am used to seeing her a couple times a year with her coming here and me going there and this whole can't go anywhere cause I am on the transplant list is seriously putting a damper on my traveling schedule! I can't wait till I can once again go on vacation other than somewhere in the state of FL!! :)

I only have 3 more movies to go and I will have seen all 10 best picture nominees!! The Blind Side was amazing (knew it would be) and I really enjoyed Up in the Air (love me some George Clooney!) I didn't like The Hurt Locker really at all which is surprising cause I heard it was a good movie...it just really dragged on and I honestly was glad when it was over.

Well I am almost done with my last abx so I am going to bed soon. Danny and I and his brother and his brother's wife are all going to dinner tonight at a restaurant called Rum Runners. We have only been there once before on our first wedding anniversary but really liked it so it should be nice. I hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day and that you all spend it with someone special!! :)

Good Night!

Full House

Well I have had an enjoyable week being off my abx so far. My sleep schedule is still a little off since I got used to staying up late. I haven't gone to bed till 1:30 almost every night.

My bf Amanda who moved here from Georgia a couple weeks ago needed a place to stay so her and her Fiance and 2 kids (6 year old boy and an 11mth old girl) are staying with us for the next two weeks, so our house is packed full of people! Its kinda nice having her here....we are getting to catch up on hanging out since we haven't seen each other in 3 years. Let's just hope I survive the kids!! :-)

I think this weekend we are going to have a pool day cause I am in serious need of some color! Oh BTW last weekend I saw the Ugly Truth and the Proposal both were really good chick flicks so if you are looking to see that type of movie I dont think you will be disappointed.

Any-who...that's all that has been going on with me. Have a great rest of the week!

It's been awhile

Hello to all my blog friends! It feels like I haven't written anything on here in forever and its only been a week.

Last Thursday, I went to my mom's Rotary Club meeting with her. They did the first ever Jen's Kids presentation on there own club as practice before going around to all the other clubs in the area to try and get donations for the foundation. My mom's club voted that same day and decided that they wanted to contribute $30,000 to Jen's Kids!! I am so excited to get started!

The weekend was pretty good. Friday night Danny's brother and his wife and kids were here and we ordered pizza for dinner and then spent the rest of the night playing Wii. It was SO funny...I never played before I always just watched but I played this time and had a blast! Danny's brother who is 28 (29 on Saturday) did the Wii fitness thing where it estimates how old you are by how well you can do tennis, baseball and bowling....well he was a 63!! LOL we thought that was funny.

Saturday, Danny worked so I read Breaking Dawn most of the day and then Saturday night Me, Danny , our friends Curt and Karen, and Danny's brother Sean and his wife Tiffany went to Sakura for dinner. That is our favorite Japaneese restaurant in our town. Everybody there knows us because we go there so often. We LOVE it there! After dinner, we all went to the movies and saw The Hangover. It was hilarious...if you want a good laugh the entire time kind of movie go see it. Its from the director of Old School so we knew it was going to be funny!

Sunday Danny worked again (story of my life) so I finished up Breaking Dawn. I am happy I finished all the books but I am sad the story is over :( I could read about Bella and Edward Forever! <3

Yesterday I babysat my nieces. It was supposed to only be for a couple of hours but ended up being 4! Trying to keep a 4 and 2 year old entertained is not easy. Luckily they brought lots of toys and movies with them. Unfortuantly whenever the girls are over I have to put Brodie in his cage...he isn't used to little people and I don't trust him around them!

Well, I caught you all up....its not to exciting but hey we have fun! Have a great rest of the week ya'll! :)

Slow on Blogging

I know I have been really bad about blogging but believe me when I say NOTHING has been going on!

I had a pretty normal week the only difference being on Thursday I had an appointment at the social security office. I don't know about the offices in your towns but here you might as well pack a lunch because you will be there all day!

The weekend so far has been pretty good. Friday night Danny and I watched Bride Wars, I saw it in the theaters on my birthday but I cried AGAIN just like the first time! Its a really good movie and I suggest you see it if you haven't already. :)

This past week I have got back in touch with a friend who I haven't talked to or seen in 2 years so on Saturday she drove up to my house (I live about 45 minutes from where I used to live with my parents) and we hung out all day. It was so nice to see her and I found one other person who hasn't seen my wedding video yet!! I will will show that thing to anyone who stands still long enough! :)

We also went to Ruby Tuesday's last night. I usually like that restaurant (especially the salad bar) but last night my dinner was NOT very good. I think we might put it on the back burner for awhile Danny hasn't been to impressed the last few time we have gone there so I think we need a break from it. When we got home we watched Paul Blart: Mall Cop. It was a funny movie but from seeing the previews on tv I thought it was going to be funnier than it actually was.

Today our plan is to go see the new Wolverine movie im just not sure at what time my cousin John is supposed to be calling to let us know. I will let you all know how it is. I liked all the X-Men movies so I think I will like this too.

Oh yeah....Danny's back is feeling WAY better. It took a good 4 or 5 days for him to be able to move around without being like an 80 year old. He was able to go back to work on Tuesday (he hurt his back on Friday.)

I hope everyone has a great week!

Quiet Weekend

Weekends in the hospital for me are ALWAYS the worst. There is no daytime tv to keep me company and everyone I know is off doing "normal" things while I am here doing nothing.

Luckily, I have the computer to keep me occupied and since I have been thinking so much lately about the food I eat I have been spending most of my time reading anything I can find on the subject. Which I still have a lot of questions about and will be picking your brains later! :)

I have watched some good movies over the last coupe of days. Yesterday I watched Doubt and Frost/Nixon and so far today I have watched Religulous. I really liked both of the movies from yesterday and can see why they were nominated for Academy Awards. Religulous was an ok movie and if you are offended easily when it comes to religion than its probably not the movie for you I just wanted to see what all the "controversy" was about.

Tomorrow night is my sleep study. I am NOT looking forward to it and I will definitely let you all know how it goes.

Movies

Tonight Danny and Curt wanted to see Friday the 13th. Karen and I both dislike scary movies so we did NOT want to go with them and instead went to see Confessions of a Shopaholic!

I have been waiting for this movie to come out ever since I first saw the previews.....I loved all the books and was so excited to see it.

All shopaholic fans I must warn you that they changed quite a bit from the book which is a little disappointing (because they are so good) but if you ignore that it isn't exactly like the book...then you will find that it is still a cute movie.

Check it out for yourself and then let me know what you think!! :)

Last few days...

So Tuesday was my birthday and it was great. I went to pulmonary rehab in the morning, went to lunch and a movie with Karen in the afternoon (got a gift card to get a pedicure, thanks Karen!) and went to dinner at PF Changs that night.

Bride Wars was AWESOME....I laughed so hard and yes cried too. I cry a lot during movies...but Karen was crying too so I know it wasn't just me! :) That is definitely a movie I will want to buy and add to our collection when it comes out.

Yesterday during the day all I did was work! I used to work a few hours everyday but with pulmonary rehab taking up a big chunk of my mornings on Tuesdays and Thursdays I am finding myself working only on M,W and F so I have to work almost all day to get in all my hours. Oh well. At least I work for an awesome company that allows me to be flexible like that!

Last night while we ate dinner we watched Taken, yes I know its still in theaters but my brother-in-law had it somehow so we borrowed it...let me tell you it was GOOD. I was on the edge of my couch the entire time! I don't want to give away any of the movie explaining it so just take my word and see it, I know you will like it.

BTW....does anybody watch American Idol? Is there anybody anyone has noticed in particular that you think will do well this season? I am just thankful they got rid of bikini girl last night, I wasn't sure if I could take anymore of her! :)

Oh yeah, I have my ultrasound tomorrow morning at 8. I am still having stomach pains so lets hope it has nothing to do with my gallbladder! I will let you know as soon as I know.....later gator.

Happy Groundhogs Day!!

Well I guess Punksatony Phil saw his shadow this morning so that means 6 more weeks of winter! Not that that means to much to me here in FL but I thought I would tell you anyway! :)

Also, tomorrow is my birthday! Karen and I are going to the movies to see Bride Wars (we knew the hubby's wouldn't mind missing it) and then Danny and I along with Curt and Karen will probably go to PF Changs for dinner since its my favorite restaurant.

I already celebrated my birthday with my parents and the rest of my family this past weekend. It was a lot of fun , my best friend and her boyfriend and there children came over and my mom made a really yummy ham and all the sides that go with it (I love ham and wanted Christmas dinner again so that's what she did!) and best of all, my ALL time favorite ice cream cake from Dairy Queen!!! It was really nice and I got some cute stuff for the house from my mom. Here are a couple of pictures from the other night and I am sure I will have more when we go to dinner tomorrow.

There were ALOT of candles...27 to be exact! :)

I LOVE ice cream cake!!

Valentine's Day

I am SO looking forward to Confessions of a Shopahloic coming out in theaters on Valentine's Day!! I have read all the books written by Sophie Kinsella and I think they are a riot...I just hope the movie does them justice.
