weekend update!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Wednesday I went to see my CF Dr and of course he didn't see anything in my ears that looked out of place. So he gave me the card of a ENT that I go to on Monday for a hearing test and office visit. Hopefully I will know more info then.

I got a call from Shands Thursday afternoon and when my phone rang I thought I was getting my call but no such luck! They were calling to tell me that the last appointment I went to I guess something funky showed up in my sputum culture so instead of my Nov. 17th appointment they want me to come back Sept 29th. I was in my car when they called so thats why I don't know exactly what they found (cause I couldn't write it down) but I wanna say its some kind of Aspergillus but don't quote me! If it was Aspergillus, I would think they would know how to treat that with out me coming back in that's why im not sure I heard that correctly. But I will let you know for sure once I get back from that check-up!

We rented a bobcat this weekend and Danny and his 2 brothers and his best friend Curt have been outside ALL day today digging up these nasty root systems that are in front of our house left over from some Australian Pines we cut down. The one stump in particular is being a real pain the butt and not wanting to come out! He will be back out there tomorrow working on it too.

The yard is all torn up right now but when its done it's going to be BEAUTIFUL!! I took some before pics this morning so I will post before and afters when the whole project is complete! :)

Went to the flea market this afternoon with my mom, aunt and sister and then we had lunch at a yummy Irish pub. I love some fish and chips and if its on the menu I usually order it. I love seafood but Danny doesn't so I rarely get it at home.

Tonight is my GNO dinner! Its been awhile so I can't wait to see some of my favorite ladies! I am sure I will have pictures to post later. Have a good one everybody!

Ringing, Ringing and more Ringing!!

The ringing is still coming from my ears!!! AAAGGGHHHH!!!

I have been off the Revatio for a week now and no change. I talked to my TX center yesterday and they want me to go to my local Dr so they can look in my ears and see if they notice anything and if he comes up with nothing then they want me to go to a ENT.

I am really concerned that this is gonna be a permanent thing and while its not painful at all its still VERY annoying.

I had posted something about this on Facebook the other day and Piper commented on how she had the same problem and that it was from Tobra.

I used to do inhaled Tobi every other month and then when I was sick I would get IV Tobra. But I stopped doing everything nebs and IV well over 2 years ago because I was starting to show signs of resistance to Tobra and my TX Dr wanted me to become sensitive to it again. So I don't think that is was my problem because my ears just started to bother me this last admission when the Revatio was started.

Well, I hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend! We are going to dinner tomorrow night with friends and then I think my parents and siblings are coming on Sunday for a BBQ but thats up in the air so we will see!

Almost There!!

Less than a week to go and I will home and IV Free!!! WOOO HOOO!!

This will be my 6th and final week on abx and while I am feeling better and my PFT's are actually higher than they have been in like 2 1/2 years (only by like 5% but hey I will take it!) This hospital admission hasn't come without its problems.

It started out with my blood work being all out of whack because of the merrem. But a change of abx helped that out and got me on the right track of feeling better.

About half way into my stay we noticed that I was having some elevated blood pressures. So my doc had me get a EKG and an Echocardiogram. The EKG came back fine but the Echo showed that I have moderate Pulmonary Hypertension. Which if left untreated could cause the right side of my heart to become enlarged. As of right now my heart is fine but I am now taking a med 3 times a day to help and you are never going to guess what it is....VIAGRA!! LOL Apparently Viagra was made to help heart patients originally and it was an accident that they found out what other side effect it has in men...

One of the main symptoms of Pulmonary Hypertension is SOB. So once I started taking the meds my breathing eased up almost right away.

I go to Gainesville Aug. 25th and they are already aware of the hypertension (my doc called them last week to see if they wanted a cardiocath done) which will more than likely raise my score. So while its not a good thing this developed its good that it will raise my score.

The last couple of days I have been taking a diuretic because I was retaining a little bit of fluid so I have been peeing like crazy. I usually have an awesome bladder so this is highly annoying!

This hospital stay has also been smooth as far as nursing goes since I have my "primary care nurses." I basically gave them a list of nurses I trusted and they made them be the ones to take care of me. So I haven't had any issues which is a nice change! :)

I can't wait to get home to Danny and Brodie...I hope these next few days go by fast I miss my boys!

Im miserable...

I am so glad to be home but I am so PUFFY because of the prednisone I am miserable!!

Tomorrow is my last dose of 50mg and then I start to tapper down the dose and I will be completely off them by the end of the week. It can't come soon enough...I usually don't get all the weird side effects that come with being on Prednisone because I am never on it long enough (more than 10 days give or take) or on that high of a dose to really cause a problem. I have never had the mood swings or anything like that.

Until this time...I was on so much solumedrol in the hospital (I was getting it every 6 hrs) and now the prednisone at home, I am finding myself very irritable and annoyed very easily and snapping at my poor husband for no reason! As soon as crankiness comes out of my mouth I realize I am doing it but I can't stop!! :(

My face/eyes are really puffy first thing in the morning and then get a little better as the day goes on but my belly is puffy my hands feel puffy (my rings feel a little tight)....im just BLAH!!!

OK....im gonna go now since I usually don't complain like this on my blog....sorry.

Love Weddings!

I love weddings! Everyone is all dressed up nice having a good time and there is love in the air! :)

Our good friends Holly and Eric got married Saturday night and it was beautiful. She looked fabulous, the food was delicious and everybody had a great time! We have a great group of friends and you can pretty much take us anywhere and we would have a good time so its always fun when we all can get together minus everyones kids (which doesn't happen often!)

I finished all my IV meds on Tuesday so I am extremely happy about that! I was SO over having my port accessed and the part of my skin that was under the tegaderm was over it too!

I go back in a week I think to see Dr. Faverio and do a dreaded PFT so we will shall see. Maybe I should take a page from Sara's book and start visualizing the numbers I want now so by the time my doctors appt rolls around it won't be such a dreaded test for me...it couldn't hurt that's for sure! :)

I did get some bad news though at the end of last week. Me along with 10 or 11 other people got laid off from the bank I work at. For the past 18 months (pretty much since I have been activated on the list) they have been extremely supportive and allowed me to work from home via a work laptop and I always in the back of my mind wondered how long that was gonna last and with all the trouble banks have been having in this economy I wasn't to shocked that this happened it just sucks. June would have been my 7th year working there and I feel like this is just one more thing that stupid CF is taking from me because if I was an actual employee who could be a more productive team member and go into work and not be in the hospital every 2 months maybe I wouldn't be one of those people getting laid off. Who knows...all I know is now I have to figure out what I am going to do. I have to go into the social security office Tuesday so we will see what they say. I tried calling on Friday and got nowhere! The phone would just ring and ring and ring and then it cut off....VERY irritating!!

Well its almost midnight...Danny is snoring away and I myself am just starting to feel tired so I should probably go quickly with that feeling before it goes away and I am awake till 2 or 3!! :)

2 more weeks...

Well I went to my appt and just like I thought my doctor is extending my abx to 2 more weeks! I thought it was going to be for just one more week so I was a little surprised when he said 2 but I'm fine with it as long as I feel better.

He did switch up my schedule a little bit so I could get more sleep which I appreciate! Plus he added an abx so now I am on 3 total. Ceftazidime and Azactam every 8hrs and Amikacin every 24hrs. So its a really do-able schedule and I am not anywhere near as tired as I was last week.

After the first day of all 3 abx I already felt tons better and noticed a vast improvement to my SOB! The only con to this whole 3 abx thing is it is really making me itchy and I HATE being itchy!! When I am in the hospital I get IV Benadryl if I am itchy and at home I don't. Unfortunately PO Benadryl doesn't help at all so I am kind of just stuck here being miserable! :(

I got to visit with my cousin Maria the past few days cause her family was in town from NY so that was really nice. I hadn't seen her in over a year. I am used to seeing her a couple times a year with her coming here and me going there and this whole can't go anywhere cause I am on the transplant list is seriously putting a damper on my traveling schedule! I can't wait till I can once again go on vacation other than somewhere in the state of FL!! :)

I only have 3 more movies to go and I will have seen all 10 best picture nominees!! The Blind Side was amazing (knew it would be) and I really enjoyed Up in the Air (love me some George Clooney!) I didn't like The Hurt Locker really at all which is surprising cause I heard it was a good movie...it just really dragged on and I honestly was glad when it was over.

Well I am almost done with my last abx so I am going to bed soon. Danny and I and his brother and his brother's wife are all going to dinner tonight at a restaurant called Rum Runners. We have only been there once before on our first wedding anniversary but really liked it so it should be nice. I hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day and that you all spend it with someone special!! :)

My Weekend

Friday night was my big birthday dinner with all my friends. We had a group of about 20 at Chilli's and it was a great night! The best part was my 3 girlfriends from like middle school came too so it made my night even more special. They all live about 45min to the south of where Danny and I live (where we all grew up) so even though I talk to them all the time we only get together ever so often so it meant a lot to me that they all came up for my b-day!

Saturday night was another celebration for my birthday at my parents house. It was just a family thing and my mom made country fried steak with country gravy...my favorite! :)

Sunday was our friend Curt's birthday so we went out to lunch with him and his parents who are visiting from Minnesota (that's were Curt and Danny are from) and then went over to Curt's house to watch the Super Bowl. IM sad to say that the team I was rooting for didn't win...(the colts for anyone who didn't watch) but it was a good game anyway and the Colts aren't my team anyway (The Dolphins are!) I just picked them to win cause I think Peyton Manning is a cutie no matter what Curt says about him having a huge forehead...LOL!!

What did you all think of the commercials? I think the funniest one was the Doritos commercial with the little kid telling his moms date to 1)keep his hands off his momma and 2)keep his hands off his Doritos...very funny should youtube it if you haven't seen it!

A quick health update: I am supposed to end my abx on Wednesday but I just called my doctor today and told him that I am still not feeling 100% yet. I still feel like I have a lot of chest congestion and small things are making me short of breath that usually don't. So when the nurse called me back she said he wanted to see me. So I am going in tomorrow morning at 10 and my guess is he will keep me on for another week of abx. I just don't know what he will do different if he will change up my abx again or add a something new to the mix. I will let you know tomorrow afternoon.

Oh yeah I almost forgot...we went an seen Avatar tonight. We saw it at the IMAX theatre in 3D! I almost didn't see this movie because the previews did nothing for me. But EVERYONE I know said how good it was and that if I was going to see it at all I had to see it on IMAX.....and boy am I glad I did! I urge anyone who hasn't seen it yet to go see it you wont be disappointed!

Now that's 4 out of the 10 best picture nominated movies down...only 6 more to go before Oscar night!! :)

Health Update..

I know I haven't posted anything lately but honestly I haven't been in the mood to and the darn Internet at the hospital is so slow its annoying!

Today was 2 weeks from the time I was admitted from the ER. There isn't any more pain in my stomach (thank goodness) so now I am working on getting the old lungs up to speed so I can feel better and go home.

So, the 2 test I had on my stomach came back and they think they have the problems narrowed down.

The first one was to see if my gallbladder contracted like it was supposed. Well shock of all shockers mine is "dysfunctional." They do some sort of calculations to see if your gallbladder contracts like its supposed to with 30% or higher being considered "normal." Mine is 25% so its not that bad that I need to risk surgery.

The 2nd test I had to eat scrambled eggs that had contrast in it and then lay under a camera for two hours so they could watch my food being digested. What they found out is that my stomach was emptying to slow and that's what was causing my pain (they're pretty sure)
so they gave me Reglan via IV while I was still under the camera and my stomach emptied right away. Reglan increases muscle contractions in the upper digestive tract increasing the rate at which the stomach empties into the intestines. So now they have me taking it by mouth 30 min before I eat lunch and dinner. I haven't had any pain since late last week so I'm glad for that.

As for my lungs my Dr just switched one of my abx yesterday and started me on 50mg of prednisone so I am sure I will be feeling up to par soon. I am most likely going home Tuesday so I will be home for my bday but will probably be going home with one last week of IV's.

OK well I am gonna go try and find something to watch on TV...I just finished ALL 3 seasons of Mad Men and now I have to watch normal television again! Thanks Sara for recommending it to me I LOVED it and I am going to have my mom watch it next!

ER Visit

A week ago I started having stomach/back pains but thought it was because of PMS so I just took Motrin and dealt with it thinking it would be over in a few days.

Well when Wednesday came around and by then I was still in ALOT of pain and meds and a heating pad didn't even dull the pain I started to get worried. So by like 9:00pm I knew I wasn't going to make it through the night because I couldn't get comfortable...nothing helped it, not sitting, not standing, not laying on my side I was miserable! So I decided I should go to the ER.

Because it was so late already and I knew Danny had to get up super early for work I called my sister-in-law and she came and picked me up. While on the way to the ER I texted my friend Felicia who works on the hospital floor I usually get admitted to to see if she was working and luckily she was! She also had a friend working in the ER that night so she called downstairs to let them know I was coming in so when I got there I got brought right back and didn't have to wait in the waiting room at all (thank goodness!)

Right away they got IV's started and blood work drawn. I got an EKG done, xrays done, and an ultrasound done. They thought at first maybe I was having gallbladder issues. All while doing this they were giving me morphine for my pain which helped right away.

6 hours later and my wonderful SIL STILL with me they still didn't know what was wrong with me except that my gallbladder looked fine and so did all my other test except that my WBC was up to 25,000. So they called my doc and they admitted me which I figured they might do so luckily I packed a bag and my laptop! :)

Once upstairs my doctor had them xray my lower back and my stomach and then my SIL went home at like 4:30am and at around 6 I finally got to bed!

When my DR came in the next morning he told me that he looked over my xrays and the problem I was having was that I was full of crap...LITERALLY!! So he put me on a full liquid diet for 2 days (I was starving!!) and I had to drink tons of mirolax along with them giving me reglen (sp??) all to help me go...

The weird thing about this whole thing is that I was going fine at home so it shocked me to hear that I was "backed up" but apparently that can still happen in people with CF. I am telling you if something weird is gonna happen to someone...it WILL happen with me!

So now I am still drinking the miralax twice a day (which miralax is just fiber) and apparently its something that I might have to drink all the time now which I am not looking that forward to. Oh well.

In the mean time I was planning on coming in today anyway for a "tune-up" before my birthday so looks like I am here for awhile. I am still having a little bit of stomach pain but its definitely not as bad as it was. I will keep you posted!

Day 1

Well, actually I was admitted yesterday afternoon but I didn't get here until 4 and it took all night to get all the orders in, x-ray done, port accessed etc. So I didn't get my first abx run until like 11.

So far everything looks ok...my doctor came in this morning and says I already sound like I am moving air better than yesterday so thats good! All I have to do is hopefully not get any fevers. Oh yeah and I just got my flu shot and I should be getting the H1N1 shot before I go home.

There are ALOT of sick people admitted right now...several with CF, some RSV and many with other types of viruses so my doctor said to really make sure EVERYONE is gowning up and gloving when they come in my room. Some of the nurses tend to only gown up when my doc is around so they don't get in trouble. Hopefully I don't have to say anything.

Another great week!

Well, its Saturday again and another great week has past! I have been doing really well health wise lately and its so nice to feel great and be out doing things with family and friends.

Wednesday was my trip up to Gainesville for my tx check-up. I am doing great (which I knew from Dr. Faverio's office last Friday) but I was shocked to see that my weight was up even more than it was last week! I am up to 115 pounds which for me is alot...I usually hang around 105 and thats if im not sick cause it sometimes drops below that to like 101 if I haven't been feeling well. I don't know what I am doing different but hopefully I can keep it up!

Friday, my mom and I had a meeting with the interior designer of the hospital about the stuff she has pulled together for us to look at. I do like the colors she has chosen and I like the architectural design of the rooms but if I am being 100% honest I am not entirely sold on the project as a whole. I just don't see any of my ideas/suggestions that I gave her anywhere and I feel like all she did was give me the exact color palette/fabrics that they already use in other pediatric areas of there other hospitals and I didn't want my project looking like any other peds floor out there. Does that make sense? So we will see what happens.

Last night we went to a comedy show with Curt and Karen. It was ok, I thought the 2nd comic was funnier than the first but apparently the table next to us didn't agree so they proceeded to talk VERY loud through his entire set to the point where he told them to shut the F***up! I thought they were incredibly rude and was annoyed by them...and they weren't even young people they were older retired-ish age people who you would think would have better manners. I mean this is this guys job and I thought he was funny...even if they didn't they shouldn't have ruined it for everyone else! Ok...im done now! :O)

Doing Good

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is having a great weekend...3 day weekend for those who get Columbus day off too! ;)

I have been pretty busy. Thursday I had to take Brodie to the vet for his yearly check-up and shots. I was shocked when I left there and the amount of money I had to spend. I was seriously not expecting it to be as much as it was!

Friday, I had my CF doctors appt and I am doing great. My PFT's are all up (not as high as I want but improved from when I did them in August) I sound clear and am moving air well and my weight was up another 1 1/2 pounds! WOO HOO! :O)

Friday night we then went to see my little brother's high school football game. His school didn't win but he did really well and stopped the other team 3 times from completing a play. Great job Jordan!!

Saturday, I went down to Fort Myers Beach with my Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law and there kids (Danny was working.) It was such a gorgeous day out and I needed sun BAD. I am a little pink today especially on my one knee for some reason...I must not have put enough lotion on it or something. weird I know! LOL

Saturday night, Danny and I and my other brother Josh along with our good friends Curt and Karen went to TGIFridays for dinner and then went to see Couple's Retreat. It was such a funny movie. Oh yeah and did I mention I love Vince Vaughn! :)

Today Danny is helping his brother again so I have a whole day by myself! Hmmm...what to do?

Sad Day

Well today one of my favorite actors passed away....Patrick Swayze. I think most women can count Dirty Dancing as one of there top chick flicks of all time. I could probably recite the whole movie by heart I have seen it so many times and who could forget the classic line of "Nobody puts baby in the corner..."

Its very sad and I know his wife will miss him but at least he isn't in pain anymore. I think I might have to watch Dirty Dancing this weekend...and then maybe ghost too! :)

On a more positive note Friday I went to the doctors and I am doing great! I was up 2 pounds from a couple weeks prior and he said I sound great. I also got to pick up the Azli medication and I started it on Saturday. For those of you who don't know its a new inhaled antibiotic that is in its 3rd phase of clinical trials. Obviously I have only been on it a few days so I don't really notice a difference yet but I am very optimistic about it.

One of the best parts is I do the abx in a new eflow machine. It takes less than 3 minutes to do and is COMPLETELY silent! Its awesome...I do the medication 3 times a day for 28 days then off a month and then on again. Its taking the place of my Colistin that I do every other month. I will keep you posted on how I think I am doing with it.

Oh did anyone watch the VMA's last night on Mtv? I just have to say that Kanye West is a jerk, what he did to Taylor Swift was horrible and I felt so bad for her. If you didnt see it I am sure you can youtube it so you can see what I am talking about. I hope that he gets a HUGE backlash from his actions so he can finally realize he can't just do whatever he wants. He's done things like this before but never to this magnitude.

One more week

Well I went to the doctors on Friday and while I am definitely feeling better and I am moving air better I still have some crackles in my lower lobes so I am doing one final week of the Merrem and Ceftazidime.

I did my PFT's which were not at all to my liking, but my doctor told me to not dwell on that (I tend to overreact sometimes) because I had only been on the good antibiotics for a week. I go back next Friday so hopefully I improve by then.

I have been seriously debating the idea of joining the gym that's right around the corner from my house. Its open 24/7 and offer some really cool classes that I am interested in trying. One is a "integrative yoga" its a beginners yoga for older people and the "less active" that keep medical conditions under consideration. Which obviously I need since I would have my O2 with me!

I did buy some workout videos which Sara had suggested awhile ago that I like but my motivation for actually doing the videos at home is very low and I know its something that I need to do. Whenever I get the energy to want to workout I do the DVDs for a couple of weeks religiously and then eventually I get lazy again. Its horrible I know and something has to change.

On a high note...my best friend is moving back to Florida this weekend and I couldn't be more excited!! She moved to Georgia over 3 years ago and I haven't seen her since so I am really happy that her and her family will be at my house for dinner on Sunday night. I have known her since kindergarten and besides Danny and my family she probably knows me better than anyone. Even if I don't talk to her for a few months when I do its like no time has passed and we pick up right where we left off. I will be glad to have her home again.

Red White and Boom!!

Happy late 4th of July eveyone!! I knew I would have a couple pictures to post from this weekend so I held off until I was able to upload them before blogging.

I had another really great weekend. That makes two in a row so I am just wondering how long this trend is gonna last or when am I gonna start feeling crappy!!

Danny's grandma is in town visiting so Friday night we went out to dinner with her and his parents and then just came home and watched a movie. They had never seen Bride Wars yet so we watched that movie (I have already seen it like a million times!) which is fine because I love it and could watch it over and over again.

Then on Saturday my whole family (mom, dad, 2 brothers and sister, brothers girlfriend, plus my mom's two crazy dogs!) came up to our house for the 4th. I made a big pan of baked ziti for dinner and then we all (minus dogs) went downtown to our cities 4th of July celebration called...Red White and Boom! It was hands down the best fireworks display I have ever seen it lasted a good 20 minutes with like 3 finales all set to different american themed songs. It was awesome.

Sunday, was our niece/god daughter Delaney's 2nd birthday party and then after the party Danny and I along with Curt and Karen went to the beach for a couple of hours. I love going to the beach but HATE it when it is time to leave and there is sand EVERYWHERE!! Not fun. :(

Wednesday is a tx check-up in Gainesville so either that night or the next day I will update you all on how I am doing. I have a feeling they are going to tell me I am doing good...and by good I mean stable so I am sure I won't be moving anywhere up the list anytime soon. I have PFT's, six minute walk and blood work this go round so I am sure its going to be along day. Wish me luck!

Twilight Fever

Well, I held out as long as I could but I have been bitten (pun intended) by the Twilight bug! I finished New Moon a couple of days ago and just started Eclipse this afternoon.

I love these book and can't wait for New Moon to come out in theaters November 20!


CF health wise I am still doing great but I woke up this morning and I have my joint pains again. It used to spring up like once a year and now it seems like every few months my joints hurt and I hate it. The last time I went to Target I was looking at Glucosamine pills thinking that might help but I didn't buy them because I wasn't sure. Does anyone else ever have joint pains and if so what do you do??

Almost there...

Only 3 days left and then I am outta here!

I am discharged Wednesday, then Thursday I have to get my hair cut, get my eye brows waxed and possibly get my toes done (depends on how much time I have) and pack because early Friday morning me, my mom and my sister are leaving my house to go and visit my Aunt and Uncle in Panama City Beach! WOO HOO!!

I will still be on abx for a week when I leave the hospital but its not that big of a deal. One med is due once a day and the other med is every 8 hours so its a piece of cake.

I can't wait to get home and be able to drink my iced tea again! I have been drinking Sierra Mist Free for a week and half. When I was first admitted I asked for unsweetened tea because I did not want to go back to soda since I have done so good at home at not drinking it anymore, well I can not describe to you just how bad there tea taste...it disgusting! I really tried for a few days to drink it but I just couldn't so instead of going right back to Coke I chose the lesser of the two and went with SM Free. Its not that great, I have never been a fan of diet sodas but its ok for a temporary thing. I just drink it with my meals and drink water the rest of the time.

There is this big block party thing that is gonna be in our town memorial day weekend (the weekend I am going out of town) its like 3 days long and there's gonna be tons of bands and things to do. Well Danny just told me the other day that he heard Vanilla Ice was gonna be there...how funny is that? Ice Ice Baby....

What a long week!

I am SO glad last week is over!

Not only did I have 2 days of fevers...but I also spent 2 days over a trash can throwing up anything I ate or drank! It was NOT fun.

On Wednesday I felt better as far as no fevers went but then I started having my joint pain. So by Thursday my doctor had given me Tylenol w/codeine because nothing else was helping the pain. My pain started to go away but then the codeine messed up my stomach and that's what was making me get sick. I started throwing up Thursday at midnight (Friday morning) and was up all night getting/feeling sick. So ALL day Friday I was NPO and getting continuous IV fluids (so I wouldn't dehydrate) and Zofran every 8 hours for the nausea. I was able to eat a little bit by Sunday but it wasn't till yesterday my appettite got back to normal. Luckily not eating for 2 days didn't affect my weight at all which is surprising.

So now that the week from hell is over hopefully I can kick my health into high gear so that I can be discharged by next week.....I have a trip to go on! :)

No fever this morning!!

I woke up without a fever this morning...WOO HOO!! I already saw my doctor today and he said my lungs are moving a lot more air which is great.

Unfortunately, the one antibiotic I am on Fortaz makes me itch like crazy so that is the only thing not going my way.

Otherwise I am doing great...im only on the third day of abx and I already feel better so hopefully I can keep this up!

The benadryl I am taking for the itchiness is making me a little sleepy so I think I am gonna lay down for a few minutes! I will let you know if anything changes. :)

Fevers

Yesterday when I was admitted everyone I know here (and my doctor too) were amazed by how well I looked and that it was a good thing I came in when I just started feeling sick so hopefully I don't have to stay here as long as usual.

Well around 4am I woke up and I was freezing! I kept trying to warm myself up but it wasn't happening. That's when the RT came in to do my breathing treatment and I told her to get my nurse because I thought I had a fever...which of course I did. So I took Motrin and then went back to sleep. When I woke up again at 8 I had another fever and its been pretty much the same all day, once the motrin wares off the fever comes right back. I have been miserable all day! :(

Hopefully this doesn't last all night! I am super tired and want a good night sleep...if that's even possible.
